24 Herbs Gin
Showcasing creativity
Through outstanding project design
-
Executive Summary
- The 24 Herbs brand project is a case study on successfully launching a new player into the highly saturated craft spirits market. As the flagship brand for the newly established Trend Spirit distillery, 24 Herbs Gin had a dual mission: to establish immediate credibility for the producer and to dominate the premium category from day one. The Result? 1st Place in the "Premium Packaging" category and a rapid acquisition of 2.5% of the Polish gin market share within months of its debut.
-
Strategy & Challenge: "The New Wave of Tradition"
- The craft gin market is currently experiencing a global renaissance. The primary challenge was to create a visual bridge between archival records from 1894—a recipe by Konrad Nikielewicz rediscovered by Trend Spirit’s CEO—and the expectations of the modern "new wave" consumer.
The design was engineered to communicate three core pillars:
- Authenticity: A recipe over a century old.
- Craftsmanship: The precision of 24 carefully selected botanicals.
- Innovation: A contemporary approach to structural form.
-
The Solution: Multi-layered Visual Narrative
- I designed a packaging system that engages the consumer both physically and visually, utilizing techniques rarely seen in mass production:
- Apothecary-Inspired Bottle: The use of a historically-informed silhouette evokes the purity of herbal traditions and pharmaceutical precision.
- The Die-cut Window: The centerpiece of the design. A precision-cut opening in the label reveals a direct-on-glass engraving of the date 1894. This creates a 3D depth effect, forcing physical interaction—the consumer must pick up the bottle to peer into its history.
- Typography & Detail: A sophisticated blend of classic serif typography with a modern grid layout. The use of high-texture tactile paper and premium foils emphasizes the luxury positioning.
-
Impact: Measured Success
- The design became the primary sales driver, proving that high-end packaging is the most effective marketing investment for a new brand:
- Award-Winning: Secured 1st Place for "Premium Packaging," gaining instant industry recognition.
- Expansion: Achieved rapid "shelf placement" in key retail chains and top-tier cocktail bars.
- Business Growth: Captured a 2.5% market share in record time, establishing Trend Spirit as a formidable new player in the industry.
