ŻYWIEC ZDRÓJ - 10 YEARS ON THE SIDE OF NATURE Limited edition labels inspired by watercolour art

Project context: anniversary and brand values
“10 Years on the Side of Nature” is a limited-edition label series created to celebrate Żywiec Zdrój’s long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and natural heritage. The goal was to design visuals that go beyond marking an anniversary - telling an emotional story about the bond between people and nature.
Watercolour as the core visual language
Watercolour was chosen as the primary artistic medium — light, organic and fluid, perfectly reflecting the essence of nature. Within the project, it symbolises:
  • purity,
  • flow,
  • harmony between water, landscape and flavour.
Water-based paints naturally echo the very product — mineral water.
Illustrative motifs: nature in motion
The labels feature:
  • birds in flight,
  • fruits,
  • landscapes inspired by Polish nature, all depicted through expressive, painterly compositions.
Rather than realism, the illustrations offer an artistic interpretation of nature, filled with colour, movement and light.
Limited edition as storytelling
Each label functions as a small, collectible artwork. The project invites consumers to encounter art in an everyday moment — on a store shelf, in hand, during a simple act of hydration. It demonstrates how FMCG design can transcend pure functionality.
Outcome
The result is a label series that:
  • stands out visually on shelf,
  • highlights the anniversary milestone,
  • strengthens emotional connection with the brand,
  • positions nature as a core source of inspiration and value.
