POLSKI RAPESEED OIL Packaging refresh through brand dialogue

Project context: a strong logo, clear boundaries
The Polski Rapeseed Oil project was a classic yet demanding packaging refresh. A key client requirement was to retain the existing “POLSKI” logo, a well-established symbol trusted by consumers. The task was not to reinvent the brand, but to modernise its appearance while preserving continuity.
The challenge: modernisation without disruption
The core challenge lay in balancing tradition and contemporaneity:
  • keep the recognisable logo,
  • enhance visual clarity and shelf appeal,
  • strengthen associations with nature and Polish origin,
  • introduce freshness without alienating loyal customers.
This was a project where design needed to evolve quietly rather than disrupt.
Design solution: clarity, light and natural cues
The refreshed design is built on:
  • a brighter, sunlit colour palette,
  • simplified label composition,
  • clear information hierarchy,
  • natural, plant-inspired graphic elements.
The bottle gained a lighter, more contemporary presence, while remaining familiar.
Design as a trust-building tool
Rather than aiming for shock value, the refresh focuses on reassurance and credibility. The packaging communicates:
  • natural origin,
  • everyday quality,
  • Polish provenance,
  • a modern yet approachable attitude.
It is a design that supports the brand instead of overshadowing it.
Outcome
The result is a conscious design compromise:
  • recognisable to existing consumers,
  • visually fresher and more appealing,
  • stronger shelf presence.
This project demonstrates that effective packaging refreshes are about respectful evolution, not radical change.
