Scammers Island
Showcasing creativity
Through outstanding project design
-
Brand narrative
- Scammers Island is a rum inspired by old maritime tales, treasure maps, and myths of creatures lurking beneath the waves. Designed by Jurand Pawłowski, the bottle and label capture the atmosphere of a world where mystery rules and every sip feels like setting sail into uncharted waters.
-
Design concept: mystery carved into glass
- The Scammers Island bottle was crafted as an artifact — something that could have been recovered from a shipwreck.
Key design elements include:
- A sculpted glass relief of swirling sea tentacles, giving the bottle dynamism and a sense of deep-sea power.
- A vintage cartography-inspired label illustration, depicting an island absent from any modern map.
- Two product variants — Golden Rum and Black Rum — expressed through contrasting glass colours, symbolizing daylight voyages and midnight storms.
- Typography with nautical character, referencing the look of historic maritime documents.
-
Craftsmanship and storytelling
- The brand identity blends three layers:
- Myth – the deep-sea creature symbolizing unpredictability.
- History – engraved ornamentation and illustrative style recalling the age of exploration.
- Craft – detailed relief, balanced label composition, and tactile richness.
- Scammers Island was conceived not merely as a product, but as an immersive universe.
-
Outcome
- The result is a rum with a striking visual identity, where every detail — from the carved glass to the symbolic artwork — enhances the feeling of adventure, danger, and discovery. Scammers Island doesn’t tell a story. It becomes one.
