Banita Rum
Showcasing creativity
Through outstanding project design
-
Breaking the stereotype
- Banita was created to challenge the traditional image of rum, long associated with sailors, pirates and tropical clichés. Instead, the brand draws inspiration from tattoo culture, motorcycles and freedom-driven subcultures. This is a rum born on the road, not at the harbour.
-
Tattoo as identity
- At the heart of the brand lies a tattoo-inspired illustration, built from bold ornaments, shadows and symbolic forms.
Like a tattoo, it:
- tells a personal story,
- declares identity,
- refuses to please everyone.
-
Harley subculture aesthetics: weight, metal, attitude
- The bottle and label design echo the world of custom motorcycles:
- deep blacks and graphite silvers recalling steel and chrome,
- heavy typography expressing strength and independence,
- contrast with the warm amber rum adds tension and sensuality.
-
A new language of rum
- Banita redefines the category. Rum stops being a tropical souvenir and becomes a lifestyle spirit — for riders, artists and outsiders who choose their own path.
-
Outcome
- The result is a rum with a strong, rebellious identity that instantly stands out. Banita doesn’t tell stories from centuries ago -it speaks about now. A rum for those who prefer asphalt dust over beach sand.
